Le Thi Cam Tu – The first teacher of the 13K5 JSE program in Quy Nhon
Ms. Le Thi Cam Tu (GST.NSB) after many years of studying and working in Japan decided to join FSOFT Quy Nhon as a Japanese BA. With experience and practical teaching methods, Cam Tu has had excellent students complete their course, contributing to improving Japanese language skills at FSOFT Quy Nhon.
With the desire to return to her hometown of Quy Nhon to work, when FSOFT Quy Nhon recruited, she found that the working environment was suitable. She could develop herself and had many opportunities to use Japanese at work, so Cam Tu decided about the company.
Here, she is in charge of the first offline N5 Japanese class of the 13K5 JSE program in Quy Nhon, starting from January 2023 to June 2023 with an initial number of 14 students. Cam Tu’s teaching method is to focus on practical application, taking examples from real life instead of relying on the textbook to help students use “real” Japanese correctly. This approach is favored over the traditional reliance on textbooks.
At first, she also encountered difficulties when participating in teaching and running projects in urgent periods. In addition to the project’s workload, Cam Tu also spends time preparing lectures, taking exams, and grading papers for students. So during the period of teaching offline Japanese classes, almost every day she stayed at the company until 8 pm to complete all the work.
“But in return, the students of the offline class N5 are very diligent and try their best during the learning process. They weren’t absent from school at all, only missed 1 or 2 classes due to force majeure reasons, so I felt my efforts were worth it. Both I and my fellow students worked hard together in our journey of learning Japanese, which helped me persevere until the offline class ended,” Cam Tu confided.

In addition, because everyone’s age is close to each other, the class is also more comfortable when there are often fun lunches and milk tea sessions. This helps teachers and students understand each other better and relax both sides after hours of work and study. For teacher Tu, all the students of the offline N5 class are excellent because they started from zero but persevered for 5 months to finish the N5 course.
Currently, she is continuing to be a Mentor for the online N5 class (course lasts about 6 months) and is in charge of the Japanese club (target 3 times/month) at FSOFT Quy Nhon to create an environment for her classmates. Japanese can be practiced speaking and sharing about Japanese culture with everyone.
Talking about her intentions in the future, Le Thi Cam Tu shared: “I have the opportunity to have been exposed to the Japanese language education industry in Japan, so I always want to be able to help and support those who want to learn and improve their Japanese language skills at FSOFT Quy Nhon. In addition, I plan to have training sessions on Japanese for IT majors if I have the opportunity, through which there will be more personnel who can speak Japanese at FQN, so that everyone can support and work together while working at FSOFT.”
13K5 JSE is a program aiming at the goal that FSOFT will have 13,500 Japanese-speaking IT engineers by 2027. In particular, the immediate goal is that 100% of employees working for the Japanese market will have an N5 up Japanese language certificate by 2024.
