NRC x FPT AI Hackathon 2025 attracts a wave of competing teams

NRC x FPT AI Hackathon 2025 is a prestigious, professional technology playground eagerly anticipated by FSOFTers. With practical challenges provided by NRC Health (Mexico), the competition promises to deliver innovative AI solutions to address urgent issues in the healthcare sector. This is an opportunity for teams to showcase their abilities, learn from one another, and foster cooperation and creative innovation between both parties.

As soon as the information about the program’s return for its second season was announced, the Organizing Committee continuously received registrations from units within FSOFT and talented teams from FPT University. The appeal of the Hackathon lies not only in the value of its prizes but also in the opportunity to tackle real-world issues in modern healthcare and connect directly with experts from NRC Health. Up to now, the program has attracted three project teams from NRC and two teams from FHN & GHC.DHM, promising to bring creative ideas and breakthrough solutions.

NRC Health is a leading company in North America specializing in data analytics and healthcare experience. NRC Health helps organizations enhance the experience of patients, staff, and customers through real-time feedback and in-depth, human-centered insights.

The goal of this year’s competition is to promote the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to solve practical problems in healthcare, with a particular focus on issues faced by NRC’s clients. The contest values creativity, teamwork, and collaboration among competing teams, aiming to discover breakthrough solutions with real-world value. Through this, the program seeks to create an ideal environment for individuals and teams to demonstrate their abilities, learn from top industry experts, and, at the same time, identify and nurture young talent for future AI projects.

This year, NRC x FPT AI Hackathon focuses on three themes: Customer Experience, Productivity Optimization, and Data Analysis with AI Application. Teams will demonstrate their solutions live at the event, with no video demonstrations allowed. This enables the judges to comprehensively evaluate the practical development capabilities of the products and ensure fair, transparent scoring.

Regarding preparation time, teams will have one week to develop their ideas, finalize their solutions, and prepare for the live demo round. Throughout the competition, teams will receive support and consultation from FSOFT technology experts and representatives from NRC Health to perfect their products. Besides competing, teams also have the chance to expand relationships, learn from experience, and engage with international AI projects.

Sharing his expectations for this year’s competition, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Việt – BUL GHC.FHS said: “After the 2024 season, NRC customers were very happy and satisfied because FPT’s technology team was very enthusiastic, creative, and offered ideas closely aligned with their real-world challenges. That’s why the client decided to continue with the second season of the program. This year, the challenge has changed: it’s more realistic and also tougher. However, with the support of client experts and FPT’s experts, I believe the teams will be able to fully showcase their abilities, affirm the ‘AI-First’ spirit, and win the program’s awards.”

NRC x FPT AI Hackathon 2025 is not only a technology playground but also plays an important role in identifying, connecting, and developing young talent for AI projects in the future healthcare sector. The event also helps strengthen the cooperative relationship between FSOFT and NRC Health, serving as an opportunity for FPT/FSOFT to demonstrate their AI capabilities to clients, while enhancing their reputation and position in the healthcare domain overall.
