Overview of Long Chau pharmacy’s roll-out campaign of digital transformation project in Sounthern West

After nearly a year since the historic “handshake” between FSOFT and FPT Retail, the F1F project team has officially rolled out the RSA system (including mobile & web) to serve sales activities of Long Chau drug stores in the Southern West of Vietnam.

F1F is a project of consulting and implementing digital transformation solutions for FPT Retail – the leading retail system of digital telecommunications products in Vietnam. In the immediate future, a new system will be deployed to operate for the ecosystem of 1,000 Long Chau pharmacies nationwide. With the orientation of bringing technology to the business, the program implements a series of projects running in parallel with the Scaled Agile model. They provide the essential foundations for operation, distribution and customer support of Long Chau. The projects used the latest and continuously updated technologies such as FCI Azure Cloud, MSA, Integration Platform, and NodeJS, PHP, .Net and ReactJS languages.

The cooperation between FSOFT and FRT allows two independent units to work together on a project. It also requires close coordination and understanding efforts of each member. Simultaneously with the task of implementing a new solution, project team members need time to learn and get used to high pressure. With the constant efforts from the management level to the project members, in a short time, the project team quickly got acquainted, closed the gap and operated in the spirit of “One Team” without. All are united towards the goal of bringing about drastic changes and add specific values, contributing to successful digital transformation not only in Long Chau but, potentially, also in companies from other retail segments.

The application of this new system helps pharmacists sell faster with the mobile app update, contributing to a friendly experience and creating good consumer experience.

Sharing about the results of the new system roll out campaign, Mr. Hoang Trung Kien – General Director of FRT, said: “When kicking off with friends in the Southern West, I understood the anxiety and thrill of the DX team, which was similar to what I had experienced when I launched a new product earlier in my career. Today, although it is an initial success and there is still a lot of work ahead. I want to congratulate you and I am also very happy about the results we have achieved. The new system is well-received and to me it feels like we have brought internet to far-off villages.”

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan – Director of Long Chau in South-West region, has enthusiastically accompanied DX brothers throughout the roll out. He commented, “The new sales app helps change both thinking and sales methods. It’s moved from the passive to proactive approach to customers outside the counter. Customers experience the transaction with staff in a vivid and intuitive way and they are able to compare prices with the pharmacy chain’s competitors”.

With the initial success of high usage rate and positive feedback from staff of Long Chau pharmacy, the project team seems to gain more confidence and motivation to “make dreams come true”. The upcoming plan of the project is the maintenance phase of the app, which has deployed and updated other functions to perfect the system before being widely applied to the entire chain of stores.
