Strong Restructuring, GIF Goes All Out to Conquer 2025 Goals
In 2025, with a strategic transformation and a new name, Global Insurance and Finance (GIF), the organizational structure of GIF has undergone significant changes to focus on developing the key BFI domain. These changes not only enhance GIF’s operational efficiency but also aim for ambitious OKRs: achieving 30% growth to reach a revenue milestone of $68 million, increasing productivity by 15%, and acquiring five new accounts.
In Hanoi, the GIF.TSS unit has been renamed GIF.IFA – Insurance & Financial Services in Asia. According to BUL Vũ Trung Kiên, the new name reflects the unit’s commitment to expanding its operations in Asia, particularly in South Korea and Vietnam, while continuing to focus on its stronghold market, Japan.
In Da Nang, the two units GIF.FTI and GIF.MBI have been merged into GIF.IMF – Insurance Mortgage Fintech, led by BUL Tạ Kim Ngọc, with Vice BULs Đặng Ngọc Đạt and Trương Công Toàn. GIF.IMF will focus on developing software solutions for the insurance, mortgage, and financial services sectors. This consolidation optimizes resources and strengthens collaboration among ODCs and projects
The GIF.JFD unit has been renamed GIF.AFS – Asia Financial Services, led by BUL Nguyễn Phan Hữu Trung, with a mission to tap into the potential of two key Asian markets, Japan and South Korea. GIF has also appointed Trần Văn Kim as Vice BUL of AFS. With an impressive track record, having twice been named in the Top 100 FSOFT and playing a crucial role in growing AFS’s revenue fivefold in the South Korean market last year, Trần Văn Kim is expected to work alongside Hữu Trung to drive AFS toward a remarkable 65% growth target.
In HCM City, GIF has appointed Vũ Quang Minh as Vice BUL of GIF.GIS. With a strong background in Presales, successfully securing major “anchor” clients such as Manulife, Chubb, and notably Davies Technology Solution with a $9 million contract, Vũ Quang Minh is expected to work closely with BUL Nguyễn Lê Kim Hằng and Vice BUL Lê Khánh Thành to win a series of high-value projects in the near future.
In the Business Assurance division, GIF has established GIF.SME – Subject Matter Experts Center to focus on developing domain expertise, building a team of specialists to help GIF master the BFI domain and enhance its competitive edge.
The GIF.PMO department has also been renamed GIF.PPS – PMO, Productivity up and Solutions, led by Trần Xuân Hồng, succeeding his predecessor Đặng Duy Thành. In his new role, Hồng is responsible for overseeing Delivery quality, developing solutions for different domains, and driving innovation and productivity breakthroughs within GIF.
Since mid-2024, GIF Deputy Director Đặng Duy Thành has transitioned to FPT Americas (FAM), taking on the role of ORT Delivery Manager with the mission of collaborating with GIF to expand into NAMA markets.
Aside from these changes, other units will maintain their organizational structure as in 2024. As a result, GIF 2025 consists of seven Production units: GIF.GFS, GIF.IFA, GIF.IMF, GIF.AFS, GIF.NTG, GIF.GIS, and GIF.BFS, along with three Business Assurance units: GIF.SME, GIF.PPS, and GIF.GSC.
The new organizational structure is expected to position GIF as a leading VI in the software industry, driving FSOFT toward its goal of ranking among the Top 50 technology service and solution providers for the Insurance – Finance sector by 2027.
