Tasks to come under one roof on FPT Chat

Starting July 13, FPT employees will experience two new features designed to streamline communication and make tracking and approving tasks more convenient. Along with this update, the To-do Note feature on myFPT Next will be discontinued. Users are required to proactively recreate any ongoing tasks on FPT Chat to continue tracking them.

A typical workday for an FPT employee often begins with multiple “touchpoints”. Tasks requiring action can originate from FPT Chat, approvals on myFPT Next, flagged Outlook emails, Microsoft To Do, or Microsoft Planner. The more tools used, the more places users have to check to make sure no task is missed. To address this practical need, FPT’s internal digital workspace ecosystem is being upgraded with two new features, scheduled to go-live on July 13. This transition aims to help FPT employees manage their work more conveniently, minimize fragmented operations, and gradually build a habit of centralized task tracking on FPT Chat.

The first feature is the integration of My Tasks on myFPT Next with FPT Chat. With this upgrade, while handling approval tasks, users can create a chat group directly within the ticket approval flow. A chat icon will appear both outside and inside the task details, helping users easily select the relevant people to create the right chat group.

The second feature is the Personal Task Dashboard on FPT Chat. This dashboard centralizes tasks created across FPT Chat, Microsoft To Do, Microsoft Planner, and flagged Microsoft Outlook emails into a single tracking space. Users can customize one-way or two-way synchronization with Microsoft To Do, Microsoft Planner, and Outlook. When working with tasks on FPT Chat, the system can sync with Microsoft tools, and vice versa if two-way sync is selected.

Along with the go-live of these two new features, users should pay special attention to the change regarding To-do Note on myFPT Next. After July 13, the To-do Note feature will no longer be available. Therefore, any ongoing tasks currently in To-do Note should be proactively recreated on FPT Chat before this date. Through these small daily upgrades, FPT’s internal products (especially FPT Chat) are moving one step closer to becoming an ecosystem that helps FPT employees work more effectively. By keeping tasks and workflows moving smoothly without missing anything, everyone will have more time and focus for what matters most, thereby improving overall productivity.
