The first onsite trip of the 2K Tester from GPE.IMS

After more than 2 years with the Software company, Nguyễn Kiều Trang, a Tester at GPE.IMS, had her first onsite trip lasting over a month in Japan, tasked with gathering business knowledge from the client.

The early days at the client site were tough, with Trang struggling to keep up with her colleagues’ rapid communication. “As someone who only learned Japanese in Vietnam, it was really challenging,” she shared. However, seeing it as a golden opportunity to improve, and with the support of her colleagues, Trang quickly overcame these barriers and turned the experience into a valuable learning journey.

Trang was overwhelmed with emotion when she first set foot in Shinjuku, seeing the bustling streets with bright lights and the 3D cat advertisement she had only seen online before. That was the moment Kiều Trang felt her “Japan dream” had truly come to life.

Working at the client’s company, Kiều Trang was amazed by the equipment and facilities. “The testing equipment was fully equipped, and the test lab was as large as our entire ODC,” she recalled. Even more memorable were the outings with her colleagues, both Vietnamese and Japanese, exploring different places and enjoying regional specialties. “Whenever we planned something, there was always someone to go with. We ate at various restaurants and visited different spots. During a Kimono photoshoot, I even met two FPT Japan colleagues from another project, and the photos turned out beautifully. It was our first time meeting, but we had a great time together,” Trang shared.

Given the opportunity to go onsite and be directly trained by the client, Trang emphasized the growing importance of women in the IT industry. She observed many talented women holding high positions and serving as key members of projects, both onsite and offshore. These women became ideal role models, inspiring her to overcome challenges and work with greater positivity and determination.

Kiều Trang also offered encouraging words to young people, especially women at FSOFT: “As long as you put in the effort every day, continuously improving your knowledge and skills, especially your language abilities, the opportunity to step out into the world will surely come!” On the occasion of October 20th, she expressed her wish for all FSOFT women to achieve their dreams, succeed in their chosen paths, and always find happiness in life.
