The inspiring journey to conquer three continents of a British FSOFTer

Naomi Cassini Gillies, a talented FSOFTer with an unwavering passion for rock music, has defied geographical and cultural boundaries to pursue her dreams and a fulfilling career. Her journey began in the UK, her birthplace, but her love for Vietnam drew her to the picturesque coastal city of Da Nang in 2020, where she became an integral part of the FSOFT family. Now, Naomi’s adventurous spirit has led her to the land down under – Australia.

It was in 2015, during her first visit to Vietnam, that Naomi’s heart was captured by the country’s allure. “If someone had told me back then that I’d one day call this place home, I would have dismissed it with a laugh,” Naomi reflects on her personal growth. “I was so timid and unsure of myself. Now, I’m a much stronger and more confident person.” Vietnam’s beauty and charm ignited a spark, prompting her to explore new horizons and ultimately find her calling at FSOFT.

Reminiscing about her time in Da Nang, Naomi’s voice fills with warmth: “Vietnam, and especially Da Nang, became my second home. The endless stretches of idyllic beaches and the open, airy spaces at the F-Complex office fueled my creativity. It wasn’t just a workplace; it was where I matured professionally and learned invaluable lessons about resilience and adaptability, particularly during the challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic.”

Naomi’s gratitude extends to her colleagues at FSOFT: “There were moments when I felt overwhelmed, but my colleagues were always there, offering support and encouragement. Sharing my passion for music on stage with them, those moments of pure joy and connection, were extraordinary. They fueled my spirit and helped me grow stronger.”

Beyond her professional life, Naomi’s heart belongs to Rock music. She has graced stages across Vietnam with her electrifying performances, sharing her love for music and spreading positive energy.
The bonds she forged with her colleagues and the cherished memories created at FSOFT made her departure bittersweet. “Leaving Vietnam for Australia, I cried for almost the entire 10-hour flight!” Naomi confesses. In December 2023, she embarked on a new chapter in Australia, continuing her journey with FAN. The cultural and professional contrasts between the UK, Vietnam, and Australia didn’t faze her; instead, she embraced the change, adapting quickly and finding joy in learning new things. Her dedication and talent have earned her recognition, including accolades like FSOFT Rookie 2020, FAN Employee of the Year 2022, and FAN Top Revenue 2023.

Naomi’s advice to young people aspiring to make their mark on the world stage is simple yet powerful: “Don’t hesitate, just go for it! Only you have the power to turn your dreams into reality.” Living by the motto “The only way is up,” Naomi approaches life with unwavering optimism and determination.
Her inspiring journey is a testament to the transformative power of passion and perseverance. As Naomi wisely puts it, “I truly believe that when you look back on your life, you’ll only regret the chances you didn’t take, not the ones you did.”
