The transformation of FHN’s BA in the land of opportunity

Being away from her small family for a month, Nguyen Thi Thuy Duong (FHN.BA) courageously stepped out of her comfort zone to go onsite in the U.S. This experience not only brought her valuable insights but also affirmed the image of Vietnamese women in the global technology landscape.

In less than a year since joining FSOFT as a Business Analyst under the FHN unit, Nguyen Thi Thuy Duong quickly established herself, becoming a Product Owner for a client in the U.S. market. Her onsite journey marked a significant milestone in her career, opening up new experiences in terms of culture, adaptability, and personal growth in an international environment.

The journey for this FHN BA began when she was recommended to join a major project for a U.S. client. With a strong learning mindset and determination, Duong quickly adapted to the different work environment, from communication styles to problem-solving approaches. A memorable moment she shared was when she, alongside the project team and the client, participated in the office Olympics, bringing home valuable medals. It was truly a proud moment that showcased team spirit and her ability to connect with international colleagues.

However, the onsite journey was not always smooth. One of the biggest challenges for Duong was being away from her family and young child for an extended period. With the support of her family, colleagues, and her resilient mindset, she overcame her worries, excelling in her work and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Throughout the onsite process, Duong also received extensive support from the company. FSOFT not only provided her with professional knowledge through training courses and certifications but also assisted her in preparing all necessary paperwork for the trip. These efforts enabled her to perform her role well and earn recognition from both clients and colleagues.

Reflecting on her journey, Duong shared: “Vietnamese women are persistent, dedicated, and highly adaptable. These qualities help us build strong relationships with international clients and make significant contributions to FSOFT’s growth in the global market”.

As her journey concluded, the FHN BA returned to Vietnam with newfound confidence, ready to embrace future challenges. Although her month in the U.S. was short, it was filled with unforgettable experiences, serving as a steppingstone for her next career advancements at FSOFT.
