Unexpected paths: The homecoming of FSOFT HCM’s global graduates

Facing future decisions, especially when returning home after spending time studying and working abroad, is not easy. Why has FSOFT become a favored choice for many former international students?

In the reflections of Thùy Trang, Viết Đức, and Phương Anh, FSOFT consistently leaves a distinct impression that resonates with them, prompting their decision to return to Vietnam after their studies and work experiences from various parts of the world.

For Thùy Trang (SCM.DFS) and Phương Anh (SCM.DLS), the multinational work environment filled with motivation and challenges has been captivating. Meanwhile, for Viết Đức (FHM.AKAT), it’s the positive values and the community activities that FSOFT offers each FSOFTer that stand out.

Graduating with a Master of Science in Business Analytics degree from Nottingham Trent University in the UK, Nguyễn Trần Thùy Trang (SCM.DLS) spent some time working in the foggy land before deciding to return to Vietnam.

With a desire to find a specialized job while enjoying the freedom to experience life, Thùy Trang chose technology as the field to develop her career. Through research and advice from mentors, she found that among technology companies in Vietnam, FSOFT resonated with her the most due to its global, multicultural nature and focus on individual development.

The spirit of embracing and conquering challenges has left a strong impression on Thùy Trang while working at FSOFT. She shared that this was the most noticeable difference compared to her previous job in the UK. “Working with multinational clients and alongside many talented colleagues means that the quality standards for the products are very high, requiring great adaptability from day one of the project. This is both a challenge and an opportunity,” Trang explained. This environment has allowed young professionals like her to quickly adapt to their roles and push beyond their limits.

In contrast to the typical image of a Technical Delivery Manager, Đinh Viết Đức stands out with his cheerful demeanor, enthusiasm, and passion for performing at every FSOFT event.

Graduating with a Bachelor degree of Business Information Systems from RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia, Đức was driven by a desire to contribute his knowledge to his homeland, prompting his return to Vietnam. He chose FSOFT for its potential, challenges, and opportunities to learn from large projects. Đức started as a Business Analyst and Project Lead for a project in the C99 before becoming a Technical Delivery Manager for a banking client in the Philippines.

“I don’t need to go far; I get to experience a multicultural environment right at FSOFT,” he proudly stated. Besides the opportunity for professional growth that bolsters his confidence and resilience, Đức believes that FSOFT’s culture is what makes him feel at home. “The programs and events at FSOFT are very elaborate and grand. More than just a workplace, FSOFT provides us with a comprehensive experience,” Đức shared.

Having studied Business Management at the Singapore Institute of Management, Nguyễn Trần Phương Anh is now a Back-end Developer at SCM.DFS.

Phương Anh shared that although she initially pursued a business-related field, a turning point led her to switch to IT. “At that time, I was very into gaming, which sparked my interest in understanding how websites and games are built. At the beginning of 2023, I enrolled in a Java Web Developer training course at FSOFT Academy, and fortunately, I was accepted as a Junior Developer in September 2023,” Phương Anh recalled. She mentioned that this opportunity was a significant stepping stone that provided a great source of motivation for her overall development.

Phương Anh indicated that despite having done various jobs, it was only at FSOFT that her soft skills and technical skills truly flourished. “Working alongside many talented colleagues motivates me to strive every day. This is an invaluable experience for me,” Phương Anh added.
