Utop and Ponta sign strategic cooperation agreement to improve customer experience

Recently, Utop and Ponta Japan (of Loyalty Marketing Group) signed a strategic cooperation agreement on providing solutions to integrate the loyalty point system that can be used between Japan and Vietnam (Global Point Exchange).

With this strategic cooperation, both Utop and Ponta expect to be able to bring convenience and enhance customer experience on both sides, especially customers who travel often between the two countries, by improving liquidity of loyalty points.

The two sides sign a cooperation agreement.

According to the signed contract, customers of the two sides will have access to mutual utility services. Specifically, customers who own Ponta points (Loyalty Marketing’s loyalty points) can use Utop’s comprehensive utility ecosystem and vice versa. These include shopping for bargains or food vouchers from famous FnB brand chains in the market, local traveling services and convenient services in Vietnam starting from the fourth quarter of this year.

The cooperation with Loyalty Marketing is also part of Utop’s expansion strategy when targeting corporate clients in Vietnam, and more broadly in Asia. Based on the strength of a large supplier network, a professional FPT ecosystem, and a data-driven marketing technology solution for interacting and taking care of loyal customers, Utop helps customers and partners in the future across fields from consumption, retail to finance. Thereby, businesses have a basis to deploy more effective communication campaigns based on market insights as well as consumer habits and behaviors collected through marketing activities. From there, the flow of customers and the number of orders will increase, helping to improve efficiency of businesses in a much more systematic and convenient way than traditional methods.

However, with customers and employees often traveling and working in other countries, the care utility of the Ponta system still has many limitations. Therefore, the cooperation and consolidation of the integrated point model with Utop is a global development direction, helping to bring the scale of business activities beyond the borders of Japan. Ponta hopes that its loyal customers will experience the most optimal care when they can still use accumulated points in another country such as Vietnam and Haiwaii.
