FPT Malaysia holds “housewarming” event at new headquarters

With the goal of expanding services, increasing the size of staff to train a new generation of programmers, and at the same time serving new contracts with oil and gas clients, FPT Malaysia (FML) moved to the new headquarters with a size twice as large as that of the old one and the integration of a variety of technology utilities.

FML’s new headquarters has an area of 560m2 with facilities needed for more than 100 FSOFTers working there. Instead of swiping cards when going in and out, in the new office, employees can experience facial recognition AI technology. This allows human resource management at FML to be faster and more accurate. At the same time, it brings an enjoyable experience to the employees.

Meeting rooms are also increased in number with various sizes, catering to all needs from large meetings to small exchanges between 2-4 people. In particular, the new headquarters also has a separate working area for the UX Designer team. The spacious pantry area has a modern coffee machine and a resting area, where many entertainment features such as Nintendo and board games are available.

One of the reasons why FML decided to move its new headquarters soon is a new contract successfully signed with a major client – P., to set up a Delivery Center to expand a variety of service areas. For this project, FML needs to focus on increasing the number of employees working in Malaysia, as well as training a new generation of programmers to serve the long-term cooperation plan with the client. Not only that, the time to move headquarters was also the time to welcome FML employees back to the office after the Covid-19 epidemic. Therefore, FML hopes the new utilities will help employees enjoy and work more productively.

“FPT Malaysia started with less than 10 employees in 2008. At that time, the company’s office was still at the client’s headquarters. After 14 years, we have grown up with bigger projects and 900 employees. The new headquarters is considered a big step for FML as I always want to bring you a creative working environment with many entertainment facilities. That allows people returning to the office to feel comfortable like at home”, shared Mr. Tran Hong Chung – CEO of FPT Malaysia.

“The new office is so bright and spacious. The new coffee machine is just what I look forward to every day. This is actually the second home as described by Mr. Chung”, said Mr. Tan Li Hsing (FML) excitedly.
