AkaQuick – Solution to problem on saving effort of nearly 80 projects

By the end of June 2022, the AkaQuick document manipulation tool by Mr. Vu Dinh Tuan (FHM.PMO) has been put into practice in 76 projects, saving more than 37 MM. To perform the same workload and edit Excel files, it will only take users a few minutes using AkaQuick, compared to 30 minutes of manual work.

AkaQuick is a tool to systematize macros on Excel. This tool allows users to automatically perform tasks, shortening working time. The forerunners of akaQuick are simple macros to reduce internal team effort, such as editing, formatting, filing, searching, checking, etc. on Excel.

In the context of often working on the customer’s virtual machines, ODC project lines do not have tools to support manual work. Besides, manipulating Excel files in virtual machine servers is often congested and takes a lot of time. Some projects not only own a large number of Excel files but also have urgent requirements in terms of release time, especially requests from Japanese customers that require careful documentation. Realizing the above common problems, author Vu Dinh Tuan (FHM.PMO) has launched the AkaQuick tool.

AkaQuick’s functional system is divided into groups to serve different user files, as well as different jobs. The tool performs the function of customizing parameters for Format, supporting specialized information filling (Fill), image formatting and editing (Shape), (Counting) available in Excel. AkaQuick makes it easier to find text and check documents through the tool’s macros.

FSOFT is currently targeting 50% of FSOFTer will use VDI Desktop, so AkaQuick will coordinate with the team of integrated tools on machines when installing. The tool will be integrated with new functional utilities, adding SubTotal quick calculation formula, diversifying testing and formatting operations.

AkaQuick was officially announced on SKU on May 13. In the coming time, not only FSOFT’s project team can use it, but the tool can be extended to employees who need to work on Excel such as Accounting, HR, SCC, etc. and FPT’s member companies.
