FSOFTers join hands to rebuild schools ravaged by floods
On the sun-drenched and windswept land of Central Vietnam, where people are just beginning to recover from days of storms, compassion is once again spreading through acts of kindness. Last weekend, the FSOFT charity team brought not only meaningful gifts, but also joy, laughter, and warm moments of sharing to teachers and students in Nghe An province.
After Storm No. 10, the “Together with the People Overcoming Floods” campaign launched by FPT concluded with 5 billion VND raised by thousands of employees both in Vietnam and abroad. This valuable fund, jointly managed by the F Family and Hope Foundation, has been used to kickstart reconstruction programs for schools severely affected by the disaster, helping to improve the quality of education and provide better learning environments for students in flood-stricken areas. This time, FSOFTers themselves acted as the bridge, allowing the charity team to directly support their hometown communities.

On October 24th, from Hanoi, boxes emblazoned with the FPT logo set out, carrying the heartfelt support of FSOFT employees to three schools in Nghe An: Nghia Thai Secondary School and Tan Xuan Secondary School (Tan Phu commune), and Tan Huong Kindergarten (Nghia Hanh commune). Here, the team presented 10 55-inch TVs, 8 printers, 1 generator, 5 stand fans, over 500 books for the library, and 1,175 gift sets including school supplies and confectionery for the children—totaling more than 300 million VND in value.
At the Lang Rao campus of Tan Huong Kindergarten, floodwaters once submerged the area, severely damaging all facilities. “The school will make effective use of this sponsorship to quickly restore infrastructure and continue building a safe, friendly learning environment for our beloved students,” shared Principal Cao Thi Mai.
Accompanying the program, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai Van—Vice President of FSOFT’s Trade Union—said: “Although the funds are not large, they carry the heartfelt support of FPT employees for teachers and students in the flood-hit region. We hope this support will help the children have better conditions for studying and playing.”
The following day, the team continued to bring hundreds of books, gift sets, and electronic devices to Nghia Thai and Tan Xuan Secondary Schools, both heavily affected areas in the province. “In times as difficult as these, every act of kindness is truly precious,” said Mr. Vo Duy Dung, Principal of Tan Xuan Secondary School, emotionally.
For FSOFTer Ho Phi Phong—a native of Nghe An and an alumnus of Tan Xuan Secondary School—this trip held special meaning: “On behalf of more than 80,000 members of FPT, we want to share a little to help the school rebuild after the floods. Every student and teacher received a gift—as a token of gratitude for their resilience under this roof.”
The gifts delivered by hand and the beaming smiles of the students made the trip truly fulfilling. Amid the mountains still marked by fresh mud, the pure smiles of the children stand as the most beautiful testament to the spirit of sharing. After the rain, the sun returns—bringing renewed hope and human kindness.
The FSOFT charity team will continue its CSR activities in other localities across the country. The next destination will be schools in Thai Nguyen, further spreading the spirit of compassion and helping to build better learning environments for children in disadvantaged regions.
