At 10 am on March 1, FSOFT AI Center will hold an internal knowledge sharing webinar called “Perils and Promises of Automated Hate Speech Detection”. The event contains the analysis of valuable knowledge about automatically detecting “hate speech” and their dangers.

Online hate speech is a matter of concern, disrupting the cohesion of online social communities and even raising concerns about the level of community safety in society. Realizing this problem is growing, researchers have developed many traditional Machine Learning and Deep Learning methods to automatically detect hate speech on social networking platforms.
This webinar aims to introduce the pressing issue of online hate speech and discuss automated hate speech detection methods. Specifically, the webinar will discuss different approaches to hate speech detection and highlight potential future research directions such as multimodal and multilingual hate speech detection.

He has published research papers at world-leading conferences in the fields of Computational Linguistics and Data Mining. He currently serves on the program committees of many prestigious conferences. In addition, he is also a member of the Editorial Board of the journal Social Network Analysis and Mining (SNAM).
