HappyPM – All NEW projects can REQUEST INFRA on FI2.0 from Aug 13
Thanks to the seamless collaboration among IT, FST, FQC, SEPG, BCC, and iDX, HappyPM has flawlessly executed the pilot of Function INFRA for 50 projects, bringing about enhanced convenience for CMs/PMs during infrastructure requests. Building on this success, the program is now extending the implementation of Function INFRA to encompass all upcoming projects within FSOFT, commencing from August 13.

Scope and Recipients of Deployment:
- Projects: All projects with Start Date from August 13, 2023, onward
- Users: CM, PM, BUL, ISM
Accordingly:
- All project-related infrastructure details, like subnet creation, network connection establishment, USB activation, software installation, and storage setup, have been seamlessly integrated into FI2.0. This eliminates the need for CM/PM involvement in the PIM Excel file, thereby reducing the entry fields from 119 to 59.
- The tool establishes automatic connections with other systems, including ASMS and IT Systems, ensuring data synchronization and curtailing data input time. Certain requests are even fulfilled automatically, bypassing the need for an IT ticket.
- BUL and ISM can effortlessly approve INFRA requests through the tool, enabling streamlined tracking of status and a comprehensive review of INFRA information changes.
- INFRA data will be reused for various functions in FI 2.0, including CM Plan, CM Report, and Product Management. This prevents users from expending unnecessary time re-entering redundant data fields.
Notes:
- The current scope solely pertains to the automatic deployment for new open projects WITHOUT an Excel PIM file. For phase-joined projects that possess the PIM Excel file from previous endeavors and wish to utilize Function INFRA, it is advisable to reach out to the team tool via the support channels mentioned at the conclusion of this article.
- Participation in this implementation is NOT mandatory. Projects that choose NOT TO utilize Function INFRA on FI2.0 can continue employing the PIM Excel file.
In the same vein, HappyPM has planned additional improvements this year to further enhance the operational efficiency for PMs. These improvements include optimizing the process of initializing new projects to allow the inheritance of project infrastructure details for subsequent projects. Additionally, the program will bolster the management functions of CM Plan, CM Report, and Product Management to seamlessly inherit the managed infrastructure information from the tool.
Step-by-step guidance for utilizing the function can be found in the comment below.

Developed collaboratively by iDX, FST, FQC, SEPG, and IT, the HappyPM program aims to address a major challenge within FSOFT – the protracted 8-day process of opening new projects involving the entry of over 400 fields of information across more than 10 tools. The goal of HappyPM is to establish OneGate as the quintessential FI2.0 gateway for handling the project initiation process. It automatically integrates with correlated tools and systems, facilitating document exports, and ultimately aiming to reduce PM effort by 50% during project openings.
