“I asked AI to do this part quickly…”

A simple sentence—yet one that made many parents, including Ms. Nguyen Minh Hue, a parent at FPT Software, pause and reflect.

Working in the technology field herself, Ms. Hue witnesses the rapid evolution of AI every day. While her son—a Physics major with a strong passion for science and technology—continues to pursue his academic path, the breakthroughs in AI have left her feeling uncertain and concerned: “If AI can write code in seconds, should my child still be learning programming?” “If he only learns traditional skills, will he fall behind AI?”

These questions may sound distant at first—but in reality, they’re deeply relatable for any parent raising a child in the digital age.

Yet, it was her son’s next sentence that gave her renewed confidence in the path they were taking together: “I asked AI to do this part quickly… but I still came up with the idea and checked everything myself!”

That moment helped her realize that what matters isn’t whether her child can outperform AI—but whether he knows how to use it effectively, without becoming dependent.

“My child doesn’t learn to code to replace AI, but to work with it intelligently,” Ms. Hue shared.

Her son is currently studying at FCT Club – FPT Software’s Computer Talents Club. Beyond technical skills, the club trains students in logical thinking, discipline, creativity, and independence—core competencies that empower them to lead and guide AI, rather than be led by it.
