“I Love Vietnam” echoes across the highlands during FPT Software’s volunteer trip

There are journeys that linger in our hearts not because of the distance traveled, but because of the simplest moments. For the FPT Software volunteer delegation, it was the sight of hundreds of Pa Vay Su children wearing red shirts with yellow stars, joyfully receiving gifts amidst the mountains and forests of the North.

The road leading to the Pa Vay Su Semi-Boarding Primary School for Ethnic Minorities in Pa Vay Su commune, Tuyen Quang province, still bore heavy scars from the 2025 historic storm and flood. The main school campus was nearly wiped out, and the students’ boarding area was facing a severe risk of subsidence.

Amidst such hardships, what touched the volunteer team the most was the innocent spirit of the children. They were still chirping and playing on the small courtyard, eager to go to school, and bursting into bright smiles the moment the team arrived.

From May 17 to 19, 2026, the FPT Software Trade Union, in collaboration with the DCE unit in Ha Noi, implemented the “Wings of Dreams” CSR program under the FPT People for the Community Fund at the Pa Vay Su school site. The program donated 2 55-inch TVs, 3 water purifiers, 1 printer, along with 270 red shirts with yellow stars, 270 sets of school supplies, and 270 portions of milk and snacks to the students, with a total value of over 100 million VND.

According to Principal Sin Ngoc Tien, the support from the program not only helps the school improve learning conditions but also motivates the teachers and students after a challenging period caused by natural disasters. “The children here still lack many things, so the care from the delegation is a huge source of encouragement for the school and the students. I believe this affection will give them more motivation to study hard and rise above,” Principal Tien shared.

The most memorable moment of the trip was probably when the entire schoolyard was covered in the vibrant color of the red flags with yellow stars, and everyone chanted in unison: “I LOVE VIETNAM”. In the middle of the Northern mountains, the crystal-clear voices of hundreds of children left many team members speechless with emotion.

Reflecting after the trip, Le Duong Thao Nguyen (DCE.YU) expressed that what lingered the most was not just the gifts given away, but the optimism of the students here. “Despite the difficult conditions, the children remain so carefree and cheerful. Seeing how they cherished every single gift and how excited they were wearing the red shirts with yellow stars, I felt this trip was truly meaningful!”

The “Wings of Dreams” journey concluded after three short days, but the laughter, the bright eyes, and the bright red shirts across the Pa Vay Su schoolyard will surely remain in the hearts of the Software family members for a very long time. And perhaps, that is the most meaningful thing the journey brought along!
