[International Life] Celebrating Independence Day with FPT Indonesia

As August rolls around, Indonesians eagerly anticipate “Tujuh Belasan” – Indonesia’s Independence Day. Join Cucumber as we explore the unique aspects of this significant holiday and immerse ourselves in the festive atmosphere with the FPT Indonesia family.

Three weeks before this momentous occasion, the entire Indonesian archipelago comes alive with festive spirit. The red and white hues of the national flag, along with banners and posters bearing the slogan “Dirgahayu RI – Indonesia Forever,” adorn every street corner, igniting a sense of national pride. Folk games and competitions are held throughout the nation, not only providing entertainment but also symbolizing the indomitable spirit of struggle and deep gratitude for the nation’s independence.

In harmony with the jubilant atmosphere of Indonesia’s Independence Day across the country, FINDO organized a warm and meaningful commemorative event right at the office. This year’s event was even more exciting as it coincided with a birthday celebration for employees born in July and August, serving as a heartfelt token of appreciation from the company to its staff.

Despite the last-minute preparations, the event was a resounding success. The lively games created a festive atmosphere filled with joy and camaraderie, leaving an indelible mark on the nearly 40 attendees. “For FINDO today, it’s not about winning or prizes in the games, but the holiday is an opportunity to strengthen our connections, foster understanding, and build bonds among team members,” shared CEO FPT Indonesia Nguyen Hoang Tung.

Sharing her plans for enjoying this special holiday, Ms. Puspita Martya Dewi enthusiastically stated: “This year, we’re fortunate that Independence Day falls on a Saturday, a day off. This is a wonderful opportunity for my family to gather, watch the Independence Day ceremony on television, and then join the lively festivities in our neighborhood.”
