Prof. Xoay: “Get the candidate’s insight to be able to… flex appropriately”

On November 30, at Ngu Hanh Son Hall, The Interviewer 2023 workshop took place: “The art of Flex in recruitment interviews” with the participation of nearly 300 employees who are interviewers, employees working in the recruitment field, as well as FSOFTers.

The event, attended by Director of FSOFT Central Region Le Hong Linh, featured prominent speakers including FSOFT Creative Director Dinh Tien Dung, two senior interviewers, Director of FDN.RD Nguyen Le Tien, and Deputy Director of GAM.DAP Mai Anh Thang.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Le Hong Linh highlighted the integral role of people in FSOFT’s remarkable growth, consistently reaching 25-30% per year. The contributions of human resources workers and interviewers have been crucial, with FSOFT engaging over 20,000 candidates annually and recruiting 7,000-10,000 new talents. In the face of intense competition for IT resources globally, the focus on proactive recruitment, human resources, and training has been pivotal in attracting talent to FSOFT.

Addressing the audience, Mr. Linh expressed the importance of showcasing FSOFT’s value, emphasizing the need for effective self-presentation. Creative Director Dinh Tien Dung delved into the art of “flex,” discussing how recruiters should understand candidates, tailor flexing to their goals, and authentically represent the company.

Dung shared insightful tips, urging recruiters to flex appropriately and avoid excessive self-promotion. He emphasized the goal of pulling in high-quality personnel rather than merely showcasing the company. Other speakers, including Nguyen Le Tien and Mai Anh Thang, emphasized sincerity, truthfulness, and strategic communication during interviews.

The interactive session covered topics such as creating a positive impression on candidates, handling strengths and weaknesses questions, and effective communication in brief interactions. Attendees found the workshop valuable, gaining insights on flexing for both interviewers and candidates.

The Interviewer, an annual workshop organized by FWA across FSOFT regions, aims to share knowledge and professional experience specifically for interviewers and resource-focused staff in FSOFT Central Region.
