SCM.DMS achieves double PMP Certification within 1 month
Mrs. Phùng Thị Thủy and Mr. Hứa Tuấn Anh, two members of the SCM.DMS unit, recently added two Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications to SCM’s collection in 2024.
Mrs. Phùng Thị Thủy views the pursuit of the PMP certification not as a race against time but as a long-term personal project. She began studying and internalizing PMP concepts in October 2023, applying them to real-world projects and standardizing processes. In the final two months of her PMP journey, she focused on practicing with exam simulations and managing her time as if in an actual test.
Drawing on her experience as a Project Manager, she found the PMP exam to cover a broad yet practical range of knowledge. “The questions related to contracts, team management, conflict resolution, and handling change requests in real FSOFT projects helped me better visualize the context of the exam scenarios”, she noted.
Reflecting on her learning journey, Mrs. Thủy acknowledged facing challenges, particularly during the early stages when PMP concepts were completely new to her. However, with a mindset of embracing challenges, she found solutions and successfully completed her PMP journey.
Following closely behind Mrs. Thủy, Mr. Hứa Tuấn Anh also earned his PMP certification shortly after obtaining his PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) credential. Since May 2024, Tuấn Anh has been participating in FSOFT’s PMP training and exam preparation classes. Beyond following the FSA-prepared curriculum, he proactively created opportunities to immerse himself further in PMP knowledge. “I dedicated four hours each day to reviewing theory and answering at least 60 questions daily. On weekends, I would go to the office for a quieter environment to focus on studying”, he shared.
Through PMP training, Mr. Tuấn Anh found that he could evaluate what he had done well and what needed improvement compared to before adopting PMP project management principles. He firmly believes that applying PMP standards enhances both project operations and team management, ultimately delivering high-quality products to clients.
SCM considers its people as its core value in its development strategy. With the mission of advancing technology and human development, fostering a culture of learning within the unit is seen as a guiding principle in FSOFT’s journey toward its 5 GIGA goal.
