[Workshop] Lakehouse-Driven Data Platform: From theory to practice

On August 28, FSOFTers will have the chance to join an in-depth workshop on the topic “Lakehouse-Driven Data Platform: From Theory to Practice.” This open event is tailored for Developers, Data Engineers, and AI/ML Engineers – professionals directly involved in building and operating data infrastructure in the AI era.

As data grows exponentially in both scale and speed, traditional models like Data Warehouses or Data Lakes are revealing their limitations. Lakehouse Architecture has emerged as a solution that combines the strengths of both, enabling businesses to store and process massive datasets at optimized costs, while supporting workloads ranging from BI to AI/ML on a single platform. At the same time, it ensures governance, security, and compliance with international data regulations (PII, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).

This workshop will go beyond theory to offer FSOFTers:

  • A comprehensive view of the evolution from Data Warehouse → Data Lake → Data Lakehouse.
  • A detailed breakdown of the Lakehouse architecture with layers such as Storage, Compute, Metadata, Governance, and more.
  • Real-world case studies from GHC projects.

Accompanying the program are two experts from GHC.DHM, who have hands-on experience implementing Lakehouse architectures in key projects:

  • Le Van Khanh – Data Engineer, with a diverse background spanning Data Analyst to Data Engineer, bringing practical experience in building Data Platforms under the Lakehouse model.
  • Ngo Trong Quan – Data Engineer and Data Architect, currently leading Lakehouse data platform implementations in the Healthcare domain, offering deep insights into the components of this architecture.

Beyond knowledge sharing, participants will have the opportunity to engage in direct discussions with the speakers, exchanging challenges and solutions when applying Lakehouse in practice. Importantly, FSOFTers will also earn MOOC learning hours upon attending.

Don’t miss this chance to upgrade your expertise while connecting with the Data Engineer community at FSOFT!
