FSOFT wins bigs in iKhien No. 4 Final
akaCam, akaQuick, and EMT won Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards, respectively, after the 4th round of iKhien Final that just took place. This achievement helps FSOFT maintain the top position in FPT Corporation with 2 Gold, 3 Silver, and 3 Bronze awards.
Accordingly, the gold prize of iKhien No. 4 Final went to akaCam by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Long (QAI.DEL). akaCam from QAI has many new features in AI integration to analyze human behavior. With new technologies, the product helps to detect and promptly warn users of abnormal behavior to ensure safety in construction sites and factories. Currently, the product is also proposed to be deployed in all FPT canteens, offices, and schools.
Talking about the superior features of the product, the team representative stated that the model is run mainly on the On-Premise platform instead of Cloud. That helps save a lot of costs as well as increase the convenience in installation as it can take advantage of the client’s existing infrastructure. Based on the points that need to be improved to ensure that the product works smoothly, the judges made a suggestion on “AI on device”. The team said that it was in the plan but currently the team lacked resources and experience in this field. Instead, they will focus on developing such features in the next phase.
The Silver Prize of iKhien No. 4 Final went to AkaQuick by Mr. Vu Dinh Tuan (FHM.PMO). AkaQuick is a tool to help process and support ODC project lines. It reduces confusion when there are many excel files by saving time on editing. It also supports specific project lines on documentation or testing.
Answering questions from the judges, the representative of the team said that the tool is free and very easy to use. It can be applied to the whole corporation. In terms of efficiency, the project team estimated the amount of time to be reduced from 30 minutes to 1-2 minutes/day to manage data, saving the company a huge amount of money every year.
Meanwhile, the Eco Migration Tool by Mr. Len Van Hau (FHN.FLT) won the bronze prize. The project team offered a comprehensive solution for system transformation (including database & application) at all stages. The product can help reduce a lot of effort in the stages of a project, and it can be reused in many other projects later.
In the process of deploying the product to become a tool large enough to serve multiple projects, the team is building a community to use and contribute to the product. The project is in the start-up phase and is expected to be deployed to the entire FSOFT in August.
After the Final Round, AkaQuick and akaCam were also proposed to be widely applied across FPT’s member companies.
In 2022, the final round takes place from April to October. The Gold prize is worth 10 million VND, the Silver prize 5 million VND, the Bronze prize 3 million VND, and the Consolation prize 1 million VND. After the Semi-Final in November, the Year Final will be held in December to find the winner of the first prize of Group A worth VND 100 million, the second prize of VND 20 million, and the First prize of Group B with a 50-million VND prize. The criteria for consideration of the initiatives are still originality, novelty, creativity, and effectiveness.
