Pursue one’s own passion then… submit one’s own work to iKhien
That is the story of Project Manager Len Van Hau – one of the youngest members of FHN.FLT to participate in the “creative arena” iKhien and enter the group-level appraisal round. The Eco Migration Tool (EMT) – Hau’s product for the contest, is almost completely new and is now entering the stage for wide deployment.
The member of FHN.FLT family had himself appear on the Software Village’s media when the EMT tool that he had developed was shortlisted for the group-level iKhien round in May. The biggest motivation for submitting my work to the competition this time is the desire to find investment, partners and access new opportunities not only for EMT but also for other projects in FSOFT. Besides, Mr. Hau also hopes that after this competition, EMT will be the first thing that comes to people’s mind when they discuss migration.
Sharing about the story of finding his passion in the process of developing EMT, Mr. Hau affirmed, “Being involved in product development from the very beginning made me realize that this is definitely what I am looking for and looking forward to developing. It can be said that EMT is the product that I was born to make”.
The EMT tool was developed and invested in from the idea of FSUL Nguyen Quang Hoa (ICS.BOD) 2 years ago when he started to notice that FSOFT’s migration tools were quite small as each project had its own tool. Right at the time when there was not much project work, Hau asked to join the development of EMT from zero.
Making full use of perfect resources from old source code of migration projects, EMT was born with the mission to help projects operate and develop to the fullest through the shortening of time spent on manual tasks. It can be said that EMT is a combination of the most innovative tools that FLT has ever developed and the reality has proven that. Even when the migration pattern is not oriented, projects using EMT still show outstanding efficiency and can save at least 40% of coding effort.
Now, besides the imperfect parts and the room for further development, the biggest difficulty that the team faces is that the EMT project is no longer being invested in. “Hopefully after iKhien, there will be investors who can understand the potential of the tool to grow into something substantial and useful,” the FLT PM confided.

From the perspective of someone who is participating in the iKhien playground, Mr. Hau believes that creativity is not something too sublime or big, but sometimes it comes from the smallest things around us. Everyone is creative every day, but because they are afraid to share so their creations are not known to many people. What we need to work on is not only to encourage people to create more, but also to encourage them to share their creations more.
Above all, regarding his product, Mr. Hau affirms, “EMT is a product of the whole team. It was born out of the methodologies of Mr. Tuan Anh and Mr. Thuat, the technical ideas of Thang and the development efforts made by the whole project team. The credit for EMT should go to the whole EMT and FLT teams, not just Len Van Hau. FLT is always innovating and developing continuously, so perhaps nowhere has the resources to actualize ideas than FLT.”
