Spread new management method Value Stream Management to FHM
Recently, PID.DSC cooperated with FHM to successfully organize a workshop on the topic “Value Stream Management – In the race for saving man-month”.
The workshop attracted more than 100 members of the FHM family who are PMs, Team leaders, Technical leaders, etc. through the MS Teams platform. The main goal of this workshop is to help attendees understand what VSM is and the benefits it brings.
In more than an hour of the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung (VSM Program Leader) shared about VSM – a method that provides complete visibility into the development process, is completely transparent, always in the know of development teams with the ability to see through the entire process of the stages. Besides, Mr. Dung also introduced about VSM Program, and the benefits that the VSM tool brings through measuring project performance with 5 new flow metrics.
The program received many questions from PMs, and Tech leaders to better understand how to apply VSM to the project, as well as clarify how VSM is different from project management on JIRA. At the end of the workshop, many projects expressed their desire to receive more specific advice when the project registered to participate in the VSM Program and enabled data on the VSM tool.
VSM Program is a pilot program, applying this new management method to projects in FSOFT. Phase II of the program is being implemented from May 31 to December 2022. When participating in the VSM program, projects will be applied VSM workflow to measure the effectiveness of the project during the implementation process and solve the inherent problems often encountered in the old workflows. Besides, VSM Tool will be included to measure and evaluate project health.
