The 9X Rose and Her Cross-Border Matchmaking Missions

If you think “matchmaking” is only for romance, then you probably haven’t heard about Trinh Tiên’s job – a dynamic 9X who takes on the role of Global Resource Coordinator at FSOFT Đà Nẵng. Every day, this young professional is busy orchestrating “matchmaking missions” between talents and projects, connecting the right people to FSOFT branches worldwide. No roses, no candlelit dinners, yet the harmony between a candidate and a job position is just as crucial as a destined match.

Tiên’s work goes beyond simple resource coordination – it’s a true art of matchmaking. She listens to candidates’ aspirations, understands business needs, and finds the perfect balance to create the most precise connections. Her workdays are filled with discussions, sometimes stretching late into the night to keep up with the overseas business units she supports in the U.S., Japan, Mexico, and Romania.

The challenges in this “matchmaking” job are plenty. Some projects require urgent staffing, while some talented candidates have yet to find the right destination. Working with international markets means constantly shifting between time zones and adapting to different recruitment processes. A perfect candidate in Vietnam may not necessarily be the right fit for a company in Japan or Europe, and Tiên’s mission is to find the optimal way to align them.

One of Tiên’s most memorable experiences was coordinating the transfer of an employee from FJP to Đà Nẵng. After multiple email exchanges and interviews, it wasn’t until all the procedures were finalized that she realized this person was actually a fellow alumnus from her university days. Since there was no profile picture, neither of them recognized each other. It was only after everything was settled that the employee confessed they had known from the start but chose not to mention it for fear of affecting the recruitment process. Colleagues later joked that it was truly “fate” — if only that person weren’t… a girl!

“With the support of technology, workforce coordination has become more flexible and efficient. But above all, it’s the seamless collaboration of the Resource Assurance team that makes the difference. Even though we’re spread across three regions, we always support each other in every ‘matchmaking mission’”, Tiên shared.

If someone asked Tiên what keeps her passionate about this job, the answer wouldn’t just be the joy of helping people find the right job – it’s also the sense of connection and the privilege of witnessing talents shine in the right place at the right time. Every time she sees a colleague sharing their journey in a distant country, she finds her work more meaningful than ever. After all, a fulfilling job is not just a means to earn a living – it’s a place to grow and be happy.
