Good news for FSOFT’s initiatives at iKhien 2022
akaOCR won the Gold Award in the final of iKhien No. 2, 2022. The fact that Device Farm is the initiative to reach the Semi-Finals of iKhien 2021 and has been implemented at FTEL is the first good signal for FSOFT’s initiative at this playground in 2022.
The final results of the final of iKhien No. 2, 2022, have just been announced with 2 Gold prizes, 3 Silver prizes, and 3 Bronze prizes. In which, FSOFT won 1 Gold and 1 Bronze awards.
In Group A (Products), akaOCR from FSOFT won the top prize. The product by Mr. Nguyen Tien De and his associates at QAI is a platform that allows businesses to digitize papers and documents, especially in a number of operations such as finance, banking, and insurance. It helps save time and effort, thereby improving the ability to exploit and retrieve information. akaOCR is being used by major clients in Japan such as Toppan Navinect, SBI Remit, Funaisoken, and Sumitomo.
The authors said that after starting to process Japanese from the actual needs of working for clients, the team has switched to Vietnamese processing and has a number of large clients such as AIA and TPBank. The group does not intends to “encroach” into English because the market already has many similar products of high perfection.
The accuracy rate for printed documents is up to 92-93%, and for handwriting is 70%. More importantly, akaOCR can automatically cut and assemble confidential information, ensuring information security for clients. The representative of the team said that compared to other OCR products, QAI’s akaOCR focuses on data security, self-generating data, and the recognition of many different types of forms.
Notably, Device Farm – the product that entered the semi-final round of iKhien 2021, by author Nguyen Hong Nhu (GST) and his associates, is also being deployed at FTEL. This is a good sign when software products have been adopted and used by FPT’s member companies.
According to Mr. Pham Huu Chung (BCC.PMO), hundreds of initiatives from FSOFT are in the process of being reviewed before getting submitted to iKhien 2022.
